I just started following Twitter, but I glance over tonight and Ed Champion is doing a bangup job of tweeting his way through Obama’s speech, my favorite line being: “Obama doing more of Dubya’s cowboy chin strut. His idealism is gone. His rhetoric is hollow. This is a dead parrot.”
I was never on the Obama wagon, not even remotely, because I kinda got the feeling he’d be the same old sack of shit dressed up in a new suit. That said, he’s even managed to underwhelm my expectations.
It’s his abattoir now.

I mean, I was never that hopeful about Obama, I voted for him mostly because I believed that McCain-Palin would be a nightmare, and I’d have to leave the country, and I have friends and family here. That being said, the reason I was never that hopeful about him was that I listened to his positions, not just his rhetoric, and I’m pretty stunned that people are so stunned by this decision. It’s pretty much exactly what he outlined, repeatedly, before and after the election, every time he was asked about his position on the wars.
