I just found out there’s a Sam Peckinpah documentary I haven’t seen, can’t find, and I’m not really sure has ever been released stateside. Setting me up for a whole lot of internet searching tonight.


Also, and unrelated, maybe it’s just me, but I think this song by Kris Kristofferson is the greatest tribute song ever written.

Update II: Found the DVD. Looks like you can also find copies on ebay. Which means that my ammunition money is probably gonna be depleted this month.

  1. There was an alt-county type band (or is that real country in this pop music with a twang era)in the 90′s called Go To Blazes that were damn good.

    They had a song off of one of their albums called Bloody Sam that was a tribute to Peckinpah. The only place I know of to hear the song is at their Myspace page:

    Damn good is right. I just listened to it. Noticed the the cover of “OD’d in Denver,” too, which is a sure route straight to my heart.
